Adam Benson
Adam Benson is one of many young journalists struggling to make a living in an rapidly changing media environment.
He has a strong background in community journalism, with a career that began in 2004 working for a tiny daily paper in eastern Colorado. He has also worked for the Deseret Morning News in Salt Lake City, a northern Utah daily called The Herald Journal and as a correspondent for the New Hampshire Union Leader.
Currently, he's a public safety reporter at The Bristol Press in Connecticut. In 2005, he took home a first place spot news reporting award from the Utah-Idaho-Spokane Associated Press Association for his coverage of a federal immigration raid on a meat-packing plant in Hyrum, Utah.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys fantasy sports, cinema and developing an Internet presence through his writing.
